Deciphering Pound Chat You’re browsing the pound board when suddenly a board appears saying “RW UC BABY CUSTOM UFT”. You may be thinking what on earth does this mean?! Here’s where this guide aims to help you deciphering pound chat (or PC). PC: Pound Chat. Some boards I have seen (though not many) say “no PC please”. Meaning: ‘No Pound Chat on my board’. UFT: Up For Trade. This means the person is wanting you to post offers (i.e. one of your pets) that you want to trade for their pet. UFA: Up For adoption. This means their pet is up for adoption and they want you to send in applications (this is not always the case) and they don’t want to trade their pet for one of yours. RW: Real Word. It means the pet’s name is a real word. A noun, a verb, a preposition, if it’s in the dictionary it’s considered “RW”. This usually makes your pet quite a high “value”, like you’re trading stock at a farmer’s market kind of thing. RN: As in Jane, Katie, Christopher, Tom. It means the pet has a ‘real’ name. UC: Unconverted. If you were on Neopets back in the day before Beta took over you would notice the pets were different. Most pets are converted but some aren’t (it’s just using different artwork). So if your pet is UC then offers of very rare pets come pouring in. WN: Well Named. It means it has no underscores, numbers or random letters that are unpronounceable. . A well named pet is more highly sought after than a ‘normal’ name. VWN: Very Well Named. You get the picture, the pet has a great name. OTB: Offer To Beat. If someone is putting their pet Up For Trade, and they’ve already received some offers, they’ll put what they consider their “best” offer for you to “beat”. Though really it should only matter about how much you like your pet and how much you want the pet they’re offering. TNT is surely opposed to pets having a monetary value.
Custom: Though TNT has banned this in some ways:
Hope this has helped you deciphering Pound Chat. |
