How to make glitters

This glitter tutorial will show you how to make awesome glitters! This tutorial is for Adobe Photoshop users. Enjoy!

First of all, you will need:
>>Adobe Photoshop/Paint Shop Pro
>>An animation program (Imageready, Animation Shop, etc.)
>>And an image to glitter!

First of all, you need to open up Adobe Photoshop. (Any version will do.)

>

Open up a new document by going to File>>New. Make it 150 x 150, or whatever the size of your image is.

Copy & paste your image onto Photoshop.

Using the Magic Wand Tool, select all the white in the picture and press Delete on your keyboard. If you want the white, skip this step.

Now, go to your Layers Palette, and right click on your image. Press Duplicate Layer. Do this three times.

Now, go back to the Magic Wand tool. Make sure your layers setting is on Add to selection. (It's marked on the image.) Select any/all parts that you WANT glittered.

After you've selected all of the parts to glitter, go to Filter>>Noise>>Add Noise. Use whatever settings you want.

Now, your upper layer is glittered. Do this to each of the 3 layers. Instead of clicking Filter, Noise, Add Noise, just click Ctrl + F and it will automatically glitter it. Spiffy eh?

Now, you need to animate it. If you have Adobe Photoshop 7.0 +, it should come with an animating program. Click on the corner of your Tools palette. It should say, Adobe Imageready.

A new program will come up. You should see a window near the bottom of the screen with a picture of your image. If not, go to Window>>Animation.

In the corner of that little window, there should be a little blue arrow button. Click that, then click Make frames from layers.

Three layers should come up now. Instead of just finishing, the glitter is going too fast. Click the little numbers at the bottom of your layer and select 0.01 seconds. Make sure it's like this for all of your 3 layers. Then, press the play button, and there you have it! Your first glitter!

Make sure to save it by going to File>>Save Optimized By. If not, it won¡'t save as an animation and it will just be an picture that does'nt move.

This is how mine turned out:

Hope this helped!
