Before you are ready to display your quilts on quilt hangers, you will need to finish your work. By now, you have probably spent countless hours working on your quilt. While you are almost done, it is important to know that finishing a quilt can be done in different ways. The last few steps are going to be different from the quilting you have done so far.
Pressing the Quilt
Before you add the batting to your quilt, you should press it. In this case, pressing does not imply using a lot of pressure. Rather, you should focus on using plenty of steam. When you are pressing your quilt, you should press each quilt block starting at the back. Only use very light pressure on the front to avoid making the quilt look too flat.
